How it works

A written scope, prepaid time, and a clear end.

  1. 1

    Request

Tell us the plan, the hours, and where.

  2. 2

    Confirm scope

We confirm scope in writing before anything is booked.

  3. 3

    Prepaid time

Time is prepaid before the job. Nothing starts on a handshake.

  4. 4

    Friend arrives

A screened Friend arrives for the activity you named.

  5. 5

    Check in and out

The job has a start and an end. Both are logged.

  6. 6

    Two-way rating

You rate the Friend. The Friend rates the job.

Activities

Company for a named activity. Extra hands when the plan needs them.

Not this

Buddy4Rent is company for a defined block. It is not a stand-in for other kinds of work.

  • Not a dating app

We do not arrange dates. There are no profiles to browse. When prepaid time ends, the job ends.

  • Not an escort service

No sexual activity, sexual contact, cam, clothing, or romantic roleplay. This is a standing rule, not a preference.

  • Not a therapist

Company for a plan. Not treatment, diagnosis, or crisis care.

  • Not a nurse

No medical work, personal care, or anything that needs a license.

  • Not a moving company

Extra hands means hold, haul, bag, sweep, load — not a crew with a truck.

  • Not a restaurant

A Friend can cook with you in your kitchen. We do not cater or serve the public.

  • Not a staffing agency

Business overflow is a four-hour helper, not a W-2 hire.

  • Not licensed trades

No saws, roofs, electrical, plumbing, or work that needs a contractor.

Extra hands means hold, haul, bag, sweep, load — not saws, roofs, electrical, or a W-2 hire.

Out of scope

If you are asking for this, do not book.

  • A date, a hookup, or anything sexual
  • Someone to share a bed
  • Care for a minor
  • Therapy, nursing, or licensed medical work
  • A moving crew or licensed trades
  • A caterer or a public-facing restaurant
  • An employee or ongoing staff role

Send a request only for a named, platonic activity we offer. Sexual activity is not allowed.

Request

Send the plan. We write back with scope.

This is a request, not a booking. The pilot is South Carolina only. Time is prepaid only after we confirm scope in writing. Under 2 hours notice is not accepted.

Read the platonic policy before you submit. The Friend may leave immediately if the job is not platonic, or if sexual activity is requested.

Request a Buddy

Tell us the plan. We confirm scope in writing before anything is booked. South Carolina only.

Under 2 hours notice is not accepted. If you are asking for this, do not book. Read the platonic policy before you submit.

FAQ

Before you request.

Do you take requests outside South Carolina?

Not yet. The pilot is South Carolina only. If the plan is outside the state, leave your email for the monthly note. We write when there is news, including new metros.

Who pays for tickets, meals, rides, and materials?

You do. The customer pays 100% of tickets, meals, rides, parking, materials, and groceries. Those costs sit outside the hourly rate.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel inside 24 hours and 50% of the prepaid time is due. A customer no-show is billed at 100%. The desk confirms the cutoff in writing with the scope.

Are virtual hours cheaper?

No. Virtual company uses the same rates and the same clock.

Can I book a Friend as extra help at work?

Business overflow is a four-hour helper, not an employee. No W-2, no ongoing role, no licensed trade work.

What does the $8 booking fee cover?

An $8 booking fee is charged on every completed booking. It is not a tip and it is not a substitute for prepaid time.

When are tips allowed?

Tips only after the job, through the desk, later. Do not offer cash, gifts, or off-clock arrangements during the job.
